Recess Media is a Seattle-based creative community built to support students at the University of Washington in their creative endeavors and growth.

Process

I was hired to develop the Recess Media Mentorship Program which would pair 1 experienced mentor to 1-2 mentees in the realm of any creative outlet (Design, Photography, Painting, Dance, 3D Printing, Creative Writing, etc.). These pairings would work to collaborate on a project in their creative outlet and present it at an annual exhibit.

In its first year, we were successful in matching 7 pairings, with 60+ guests who supported the first Recess Media Mentorship Exhibit.

Social Media Marketing

Working with the design team (providing concepts, inspiration boards, creative direction, and feedback) & the marketing team (caption writing, creating social media posts) we launched and advertised the program via Instagram and LinkedIn.
